India vs Namibia T20 World Cup 2026: Hardik and Ishan Power India to a Massive 93-Run Victory!

If you love big hits and "mystery" bowling, then Thursday, February 12, 2026, was your lucky day! The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is in full swing, and India just showed the world why they are the team to beat.

In a high-energy clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Men in Blue dominated Namibia, winning by a huge margin of 93 runs. Let’s break down how it all happened in simple terms!

First Innings: The Ishan Kishan & Hardik Pandya Show

Namibia won the toss and chose to bowl first. At first, it looked like a good idea, but then Ishan Kishan walked out to the middle. He was in "beast mode" from the very first ball!

  • Ishan Kishan’s Fireworks: He smashed 61 runs off just 24 balls. That’s a strike rate of over 250! He hit 5 massive sixes that landed way back in the stands.

  • Hardik’s Finishing Touch: After Ishan set the platform, Hardik Pandya took over. He scored a blistering 52 off 28 balls, ensuring India reached a giant total.

  • The Final Score: India finished with a humongous 209/9 in their 20 overs.

Give Credit to Namibia: Their captain, Gerhard Erasmus, bowled like a hero. He took 4 wickets for just 20 runs, proving that Namibia can compete with the best in the world.

Second Innings: Varun’s "Mystery" Spin Traps Namibia

Chasing 210 is like trying to climb Mount Everest in a hurry. Namibia started bravely, reaching 67/1, but then the Indian bowlers turned up the heat.

  • Varun Chakaravarthy: The "mystery spinner" was impossible to read. He took 3 wickets for only 7 runs! The Namibian batters just couldn't figure out which way the ball was turning.

  • All-Round Hardik: Not satisfied with just batting, Hardik came back to take 2 wickets with the ball.

  • The Result: Namibia was bowled out for 116 runs in 18.2 overs. India won by 93 runs!

3 Reasons Why This Match Was Special

  1. Record Breakers: This was India’s biggest-ever win by runs in the history of the T20 World Cup!

  2. Winning Streak: India has now won 10 T20 World Cup matches in a row—a new world record.

  3. Hardik’s Comeback: Hardik Pandya won the Player of the Match award for his incredible all-round performance (52 runs + 2 wickets).

"I’m just enjoying my cricket. Playing for India is always a dream, and I'm glad I could contribute today," said a smiling Hardik Pandya after the game.
