India vs USA: A Cricket Thriller in Mumbai!

By: Your Cricket Buddy Date: February 7, 2026

Hello, young cricket fans! Did you see the big game today? The T20 World Cup 2026 is officially here, and the first big match was between the Indian Lions and the USA Stars at the famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

It was a day full of flying balls, falling wickets, and huge cheers! Let’s dive into what happened.

 The Captain Saves the Day

The USA won the toss and asked India to bat first. Things started a bit scary for India! The USA bowlers were super fast and took some early wickets. India was in trouble at 46/4 (that means 4 players were out very quickly!).

But then, the captain Suryakumar Yadav (we call him "SKY"!) walked onto the field. He played like a superhero! He hit the ball all over the ground and scored a massive 84 runs. Because of SKY’s magic, India reached a total of 161 runs.

 The USA Fights Back

The USA team didn't give up. They had to chase 162 to win. Their players, Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Shubham Ranjane, hit some big sixes that made the Indian fans a little nervous!

 India’s Secret Weapon: The Bowlers

Just when the USA was getting close, India’s "Rocket Bowlers" stepped up. Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh bowled so fast and so straight that the USA batters couldn't keep up. Axar Patel also took two wickets in a row, making the crowd go wild!

In the end, the USA finished at 132 runs.

 The Final Result

India won by 29 runs!

It was a great start for Team India as they began defending their World Cup trophy. The USA team also played very bravely and proved they are becoming a very strong team!

India vs. NZ: Abhishek Sharma Fired Boundaries Rained!  The 5-match T20i series between India and New Zealand kicked off with a bang at the VCA Stadium in Jamtha ! The Toss: New Zealand Opts to Bowl The match started with New Zealand winning the toss. They chose to bowl first, hoping the pitch would help their pacers early on. For a moment, it looked like a good decision. India’s star opener, Sanju Samson , was caught early for just 10 runs. But that was the last bit of good news for the Kiwis! The Abhishek Sharma Show 💥 Once Sanju departed, Abhishek Sharma took charge. He didn't just play; he dominated! Abhishek "fired" at every New Zealand bowler, hitting boundaries all over the park. He turned the game into a highlight reel, making the crowd go wild. He wasn't alone, though. India’s middle order kept the momentum high: Hardik Pandya provided the muscle. Suryakumar Yadav played well as captain. Rinku Singh finished things off with his usual explosive style. ...
