WPL 2026: RCB Storm into Finals! Mandhana and Harris Crush UP Warriorz

WPL 2026: RCB Storm into Finals! Mandhana and Harris Crush UP Warriorz

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have done it again! In a high-stakes showdown at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Kotambi, RCB delivered a masterclass performance to defeat the UP Warriorz (UPW).

With this massive 8-wicket victory, RCB has officially finished at the top of the table with 12 points, securing a direct ticket to the WPL 2026 Grand Final!

First Innings: The UPW Collapse

RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first, a move that proved to be genius. The UP Warriorz started strong with an opening partnership of 74 runs between Deepti Sharma (55) and Meg Lanning (41). At one point, it looked like they would post a huge score.

However, the RCB bowlers had other plans:

  • Nadine de Klerk was the star with the ball, taking a sensational 4 wickets for just 22 runs. Her spell completely broke the UPW middle order.

  • Grace Harris showed off her all-round skills, picking up 2 wickets to slow down the scoring.

  • Lauren Bell and Shreyanka Patil chipped in with a wicket each, restricting UPW to a modest 143/8 in their 20 overs.

Second Innings: The Harris & Mandhana Show

Chasing 144, the RCB openers didn't just play—they attacked! Even after losing an early wicket, the "Dynamic Duo" of Grace Harris and Captain Smriti Mandhana turned the game into a boundary-hitting festival.

  • Grace Harris (Player of the Match): She was unstoppable, smashing 75 runs off only 37 balls! Her innings included 13 fours and 2 sixes, leaving the bowlers with no place to hide.

  • Smriti Mandhana: The captain led from the front with a classy, unbeaten 54 off 27 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes of her own.

RCB chased down the target in just 13.1 overs, finishing the game with 41 balls to spare!

The Road to the Title

This win is historic for the "Bold Army." It marks the second time RCB has qualified for the WPL Finals. The last time they reached the final (in 2024), they brought the trophy home. Now, as table-toppers with 6 wins out of 8 matches, they are the favorites to win their second WPL title.
